As of October 22, 2026. Salaries, injuries, and depth charts refreshed today. Salaries and matchup data can still move before lock, injury news and line moves aren’t reflected here until the next update.
Here’s the value board for Week 7, pulled straight from this week’s salaries, no hand-picked “sleepers,” just the players whose points-per-salary clears the bar for their price.
This week’s top value plays
Tennessee DST, $2,600, 13.5 projected (5.18 per $1k) The clear value leader at any position this week, tied directly to Wednesday’s matchup notes: the single softest offense-to-defense matchup on the board. DK’s own number runs well behind this one (6.5), more than double.
Cleveland DST, $2,800, 12.4 projected (4.44 per $1k) The other side of the same game. Both defenses in CLE @ TEN look live this week.
Brock Purdy, QB, SF, $6,600, 24.7 projected (3.74 per $1k) Close agreement with DK’s own FPPG (22.7).
Puka Nacua, WR, LAR, $8,400, 29.4 projected (3.49 per $1k) The highest score on this week’s entire consensus check, not just among receivers.
Bryce Young, QB, CAR, $5,900, 20.4 projected (3.46 per $1k) Close agreement with DK’s own number (23.7, the gap runs the other direction here).
C.J. Stroud, QB, HOU, $5,700, 19.6 projected (3.45 per $1k) Tight agreement with DK’s own FPPG (20.7).
Minnesota DST, $3,500, 12.0 projected (3.43 per $1k) The one defense near the top of this board whose own matchup number (0.91x) isn’t doing the heavy lifting, this one’s about the raw price.
Jahmyr Gibbs, RB, DET, $9,800, 31.9 projected (3.25 per $1k) Tied to the highest total on the slate (GB @ DET, 53.5), and the single highest raw projection on the whole board. The sources split on how much to trust that number, agreeing on his tier but not the ceiling.
Worth knowing: defenses lead the board again
Three of this week’s top eight spots by value are defenses, and it’s not a fluke of cheap pricing. Tennessee and Cleveland both tie to Wednesday’s matchup read, the single softest matchups in the league for defenses to score against this week, in a game against each other. Houston’s DST (not shown above, $3,400, 3.33 per $1k) is a step behind but tells the same story against a Giants offense that’s been generous to defenses most of the season.
FAQ
Why isn’t every high-value name on this board a pick?
Because value only measures points against salary, it doesn’t know whether a player’s current role actually supports getting those points. This week’s board is checked against team-reported depth-chart data before any name above gets called a starter, and a confirmed backup doesn’t make this list no matter how the raw number looks.
Does an injury designation change the numbers?
Yes. A Questionable, Doubtful, or Out status pulls a player’s projection down in this site’s model, and an Out or Doubtful designation excludes a player from this board outright regardless of ranking basis. Any remaining designation is shown as a plain label so you can weigh it yourself.
Why do some players show such a large gap against DK’s own FPPG?
DK’s FPPG is a simple recent-average number with its own limitations. It can lag a role change, overweight one big or one bad recent game, or use a shorter window than this site’s model. Neither number is automatically right, a large gap is a signal worth investigating, not an error to explain away.
When does this get updated before kickoff?
Whenever a salary, projection, or depth-chart change is significant enough to matter. A note at the top of the post marks any update after publication; no note means the numbers above are current as of publication.
