§ About

I'm Derek Jensen.

20+ years building software. Now aiming all of it at NFL DFS — real models, real backtests, the math shown in the open.

NFL DFS content is mostly a black box. You pay for someone's picks, or their gut feel dressed up as a service, and you have no real way to check their work.

I got tired of that. I wanted tools and a process I could actually trust — because I could see how they worked, not because someone told me to trust them.

I've spent 20+ years in software development — backend systems, databases, web apps, mobile apps, most of the stack at one point or another. The last several years have been focused specifically on AI and data analytics.

DFS Engineer Playbook is that experience pointed at one problem: building real NFL DFS projections, lineup tools, and a repeatable weekly process — for the rest of us, not just for people who can already build this stuff themselves.

Everything here gets built the same way: state the model, run it against real results, show the work — good or bad. You can already see a piece of that on the homepage, where the projection numbers are backtested, not just asserted. I'm not selling picks. I'm building the tools and process I use myself, in the open.

Every model, every projection, every lineup decision gets written up as it happens. If you want a real process instead of a guess, start with the playbook — or join the community and follow along live.
