NFL DFS Value Plays, Week 6: Board and Reasoning

DFS Engineer Playbook · October 15, 2026 · Salary & Value, Value Plays, Week 6, NFL DFS

As of October 15, 2026. Salaries, injuries, and depth charts refreshed today. Salaries and matchup data can still move before lock, injury news and line moves aren’t reflected here until the next update.

Here’s the value board for Week 6, pulled straight from this week’s salaries, no hand-picked “sleepers,” just the players whose points-per-salary clears the bar for their price.

This week’s top value plays

New York Jets DST, $2,200, 10.2 projected (4.62 per $1k) The clear value leader at any position this week. DK’s own number runs well behind this one (7.4), a gap worth watching rather than a mismatch to explain away.

Tyler Shough, QB, NO, $5,600, 20.5 projected (3.66 per $1k) Confirmed starter, close agreement with DK’s own FPPG (19.2).

Josh Allen, QB, BUF, $7,500, 26.6 projected (3.55 per $1k) Confirmed starter, tied to Tuesday’s highest-total game of the week (BUF @ LV, 53.5).

Kyren Williams, RB, LAR, $6,800, 23.9 projected (3.51 per $1k) Confirmed starter, tied to the same ARI @ LAR shootout as Wednesday’s matchup notes, close agreement with DK’s own number (22.1).

Bryce Young, QB, CAR, $5,700, 19.9 projected (3.49 per $1k) Confirmed starter, though DK’s own number runs well above it (24.7), the biggest gap on this board among confirmed starters.

Dallas Goedert, TE, PHI, $3,900, 13.2 projected (3.39 per $1k) Confirmed starter, the clean top-tier tight end value this week.

Rhamondre Stevenson, RB, NE, $6,000, 18.9 projected (3.15 per $1k) Confirmed starter, and the single widest gap against DK’s own FPPG on the whole board (12.4, a 52% difference). Worth treating as the week’s most contested number, not a settled one.

Puka Nacua, WR, LAR, $8,100, 24.9 projected (3.08 per $1k) Confirmed starter, the highest score on this week’s entire consensus check, not just among receivers, and the same LAR @ ARI shootout as Kyren Williams above.

Worth knowing: a value number that isn’t actually a play

Anthony Richardson Sr. (QB, IND, $4,000) ranks high on points-per-salary, 12.6 projected, 3.15 per $1k, right alongside the confirmed starters above. He’s Indianapolis’s QB2 this week, not the starter (that’s Daniel Jones, $5,200), and he’s a healthy backup who doesn’t see the field unless Jones gets hurt. The salary and the projection number don’t carry that distinction on their own. This is exactly why a value number gets checked against the depth chart before it becomes a pick, not after.

Worth knowing: defenses lead the board again

New York Jets isn’t alone up top. New England ($3,500, 10.8 projected) clears 3.0+ per $1k too, tied to the same matchup signal this site’s reads flagged Tuesday: New England’s defense grades as one of the better plays on the board against a Raiders offense.

FAQ

Why isn’t every high-value name on this board a pick?

Because value only measures points against salary, it doesn’t know whether a player’s current role actually supports getting those points. This week’s board is checked against team-reported depth-chart data before any name above gets called a starter. Anthony Richardson Sr., above, is the clearest example this week: a strong number attached to a backup who doesn’t see the field unless the starter ahead of him gets hurt.

Does an injury designation change the numbers?

Yes. A Questionable, Doubtful, or Out status pulls a player’s projection down in this site’s model, and an Out or Doubtful designation excludes a player from this board outright regardless of ranking basis. Any remaining designation is shown as a plain label so you can weigh it yourself.

Why do some players show such a large gap against DK’s own FPPG?

DK’s FPPG is a simple recent-average number with its own limitations. It can lag a role change, overweight one big or one bad recent game, or use a shorter window than this site’s model. Neither number is automatically right, a large gap is a signal worth investigating, not an error to explain away.

When does this get updated before kickoff?

Whenever a salary, projection, or depth-chart change is significant enough to matter. A note at the top of the post marks any update after publication; no note means the numbers above are current as of publication.
