As of September 24, 2026 — real salaries, injuries, and depth charts refreshed today. Salaries and matchup data can still move before lock — injury news and line moves aren’t reflected here until the next update.
Here’s the real value board for Week 3, pulled straight from this week’s salaries — no hand-picked “sleepers,” just the players whose points-per-salary clears the bar for their price. This week’s model now carries two real weeks of current-season results in its trailing-form calculation, a deeper sample than Week 2’s single-week read.
This week’s top value plays
Trevor Lawrence, QB, JAX — $5,700, 25.0 projected (4.39 per $1k) Jacksonville’s confirmed starter, and the top value on the entire board. DK’s own FPPG (16.6) runs well below this site’s model — a real disagreement worth tracking, not just a clean confirmation this time.
Tyler Shough, QB, NO — $5,400, 22.4 projected (4.14 per $1k) New Orleans’ confirmed starter. DK’s FPPG runs hotter here (25.8) — this site’s model is the more conservative read.
Denzel Boston, WR, CLE — $4,500, 17.2 projected (3.82 per $1k) Cleveland’s confirmed starter at this price, with DK’s FPPG in exact agreement (17.2) — two independent numbers landing on the same read.
Michael Wilson, WR, ARI — $5,200, 19.3 projected (3.71 per $1k) Arizona’s confirmed starter. The widest divergence among this week’s top values — DK’s FPPG sits at 7.2, less than half this site’s number. Worth real caution rather than assuming the higher read repeats.
Jameis Winston, QB, NYG — $4,000, 14.3 projected (3.58 per $1k) Confirmed New York Giants starter at the minimum QB price. The single biggest divergence on this board: DK’s FPPG is 3.5, more than 300% below this site’s model. Named directly rather than smoothed over — worth checking recent usage before trusting the cheaper read as safer.
Brock Purdy, QB, SF — $6,500, 23.0 projected (3.54 per $1k) Confirmed starter, reasonable agreement with DK’s own number (25.3).
Derrick Henry, RB, BAL — $7,700, 25.3 projected (3.29 per $1k) Confirmed lead back, still clearing value at a premium price, and the QB in the same Baltimore backfield behind this week’s highest-total game (see the matchup analysis). DK’s FPPG (28.0) runs a bit hotter — reasonable agreement either way.
George Kittle, TE, SF — $4,800, 15.7 projected (3.27 per $1k) Real value at tight end, DK’s FPPG (10.6) running notably cooler — worth a real second look at what’s driving the gap before trusting either number blindly.
Chris Olave, WR, NO — $7,200, 23.0 projected (3.19 per $1k) Confirmed #1 in New Orleans, close agreement with DK’s own number (26.9).
Worth knowing: defenses and one deep divergence lead this week’s board
Four of the top values by raw points-per-salary this week are defenses — Las Vegas, Carolina, Cleveland, and Jacksonville all clear 4.2+ per $1k. Cleveland’s defense carries the widest model-vs-DK gap of any defense on the board: this site’s model has them at 10.6 points, DK’s own FPPG has them at just 3.0 — a real, sizable disagreement worth watching rather than assuming either side is simply right.
On the offensive side, Jameis Winston’s number above is the one to sit with the longest: a 300%+ gap against DK’s own published FPPG isn’t noise, and it’s disclosed here directly rather than left as a footnote in a ranked list.
FAQ
Why isn’t every high-value name on this board a pick?
Because “value” only measures points against salary — it doesn’t know whether a player’s current role actually supports getting those points. This week’s board is checked against real, team-reported depth-chart data before any role gets described as a “starter”; when that data doesn’t back the number up, this post says so directly instead of quietly including the name anyway.
Does an injury designation change the numbers?
Yes — a real “Questionable,” “Doubtful,” or “Out” status pulls a player’s projection down in this site’s model, and an “Out” designation excludes a player from this board outright regardless of ranking basis. Any remaining designation is shown as a plain label so you can weigh it yourself.
Why do some players show such a large gap against DK’s own FPPG?
DK’s FPPG is a simple recent-average number with its own real limitations — it can lag a role change, overweight one big or one bad recent game, or simply use a shorter window than this site’s model. Neither number is automatically “right”; a large gap is a real signal worth investigating, not an error to explain away.
When does this get updated before kickoff?
Whenever a salary, projection, or depth-chart change is significant enough to matter. Check the “as of” line at the top of the post — it always reflects the most recent real update, not just when this was first published.
